About our service:
We are a 12 bedded Assessment and Treatment Ward and provide 24 hour hospital care for the older adult with a cognitive impairment often presenting with complex needs, displaying stress and distress.
Our vision is to provide specialist care of an excellent standard which embraces our values and the principles of a person-centred care framework, with a shared belief that everyone in our care has the right to a safe environment that maximises independence, freedom of choice, privacy, dignity and respect, delivered in a non-discriminatory way.

Our Multidisciplinary team includes: Consultant, Nurses, Activity Coordinator, Health Care Support Workers, Doctors, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist and Social Worker.
We have regular visits from Pets as Therapy (PAT), Perfect Harmony, Elderflowers (trained actors who provide interactive sessions with patients), and choirs and quartets from the community.
