GPs (General Practitioners)
What: Most GPs provide general sexual health services and some provide additional specialised services.
Where: Young people can attend their own GP

What: Offer advice on contraception and services, sexual health advice, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections and HIV care throughout the Scottish Borders. We offer services to men and women of all ages including under 16.
Where: We hold clinics in towns throughout the Borders. Our largest clinic is at Currie Road in Galashiels. There are also clinics in Peebles, Hawick & Duns and drop-in clinics in these and other places.

School Nurses:
What: Each secondary school has a confidential Drop-in clinic for young people to access at lunchtimes once a week. This service provides sexual health information and support including distribution of some forms of contraception, pregnancy tests and Chlamydia testing kits. The Drop-in clinics also offer support to give-up smoking, mental and emotional support and general health advice and information.
