Pre-Diabetes Education
We offer those who have a diagnosis of Pre-Diabetes support to help reduce their risk of developing type 2 diabetes (T2D).
What is Pre-Diabetes?
Pre-Diabetes is a condition where your blood sugars are higher than normal, but not high enough for you to have a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes. This may also be called:
- Impaired Fasting Glucose (IFG)
- Impaired Glucose Tolerance (IGT)
- Impaired Glucose Regulation (IGR)
- Non-Diabetic Hyperglycaemia
A blood test called an HbAic can be used to test for Pre-Diabetes. An HbAic between 42mmol/mol - 47mmol/mol is higher than normal and indicates you are at risk of developing diabetes.
