Sleep
Sleep is one of the main ingredients our children need to maintain a healthy lifestyle. It is just as important as diet and exercise. It is one of the key human functions that has remained throughout the evolutionary process. A lack of sleep can lead to serious physical and psychological consequences.
Children who don’t sleep well will see a deterioration with daily function including reduced academic performance, motor abilities and abilities to complete basic functional tasks such as getting dressed.
However, often there are simple things we can do to improve sleep hygiene and in turn improve other aspects of our child’s function.
We have created a mini-series of videos looking at the importance of sleep and strategies we can implement to help improve sleep.
