Gross Motor Activity Ideas
There are a number of visual resources which may be benficial for trying with children in areas that they find tricky:
Bike Skills
Learning to ride a bike can be a frustrating business. Children who lack confidence in movement, or who have poor balance are often afraid to attempt this activity. Some children may manage with stabilisers on but are often afraid to have the stabilisers removed yet want to keep up with their peer group.
This information leaflet and Youtube clips may prove helpful for such children.
Make the sessions relaxed with no pressure, the leaflet breaks it down into stages so its not to scarey the idea is to get the child to gain confidence with every stage.
