Child Protection is everyone's responsibility.
All children have a right to be protected from harm, especially from other people and to grow up in a caring and safe environment.
If you have concerns about a child or young person, or if a child or young person tells you something, you need to take them seriously, do something about it, and speak to someone without delay. This could be a teacher, doctor, health visitor, social worker or police officer.
If you consider a child or young person is in immediate danger, call the police on 999 without delay.
If you need advice, information or to report a concern contact the Children & Young People's Social Work Duty Team on 01896 662787.
