We are excited to launch our new Organisational Strategy. This marks a significant milestone following extensive engagement with our dedicated staff and members of the Borders community.

The strategy is live and available to view here; we invite you to take a look, understand the vision and consider how you can play your part as we move forward.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this process – your feedback, ideas and passion have shaped this strategy. We are grateful for your involvement in making it a strategy that truly reflects the needs and aspirations of our staff and members of our community.

At the core of the strategy is a strong emphasis on prevention. We want to empower you to take control of your health and wellbeing. Whether it's through healthy living tips, early interventions or simply offering guidance on how to better look after yourself, we are committed to supporting you every step of the way. It's all about working together to create healthier, happier communities. We encourage you to consider how you can play an active role in your own health and wellbeing; and how we can help support you in doing so.

If you would prefer a printed version of the strategy, we are happy to send one to you. Email us your request along with your home address to bor.strategy@borders.scot.nhs.uk and we will send you a copy.

Our Next Steps: Clinical Strategy – We Need Your Input

The Clinical Strategy will be the blueprint for the future of clinical services delivered in the Borders. Our next step is to develop this strategy which is where we will focus on the fine details and key elements that will get us to where we want to be. Working directly with our communities and healthcare professionals to shape the future of clinical care is going to be a key part of this.

Over the summer, we’ll be reaching out once more to engage with you. Your feedback is invaluable to us and we want to ensure that our clinical strategy meets your needs and expectations.

Together, we can create a healthier future for everyone.
