21 June 2021

Over 81,500 people have now received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine in the Borders.

We have started vaccinating those aged 18-29. People in this group who pre-registered will receive their appointment via text or email. Appointments have also started to be scheduled for those in this group who didn’t pre-register and appointment letters (blue envelope) are on the way. Some appointments have been made for this week, if you are 18-29 you can use the appointment checker to find out if you have an upcoming appointment: https://invitations.vacs.nhs.scot/

Our vaccination teams continue to make great progress with administering second doses. So far, over 63,500 people have had their second vaccination in the Borders.

We are running a Drop-In Clinic this Saturday (26 June) at the Borders Events Centre, Springwood Park in Kelso from 9:30am – 4:30pm. This clinic will be an AstraZeneca and Pfizer clinic for the following groups:

Second Vaccination
If you had your first dose before 2 May and you are awaiting your second dose, even if you already have an appointment for your second dose.

Everyone under 40 years of age will receive the Pfizer vaccine in the Borders.
