A further two positive cases of Covid-19 have been identified in Hawick through NHS Borders Test and Protect team.
This brings the total associated with the outbreak in Hawick to 15 positive cases. None of the cases are causing any clinical concern.
Test and protect staff are continuing to contact anyone who may be affected, with close contacts being advised to self-isolate and being given appropriate advice.
Although the risk of catching the virus in Hawick is low, please be extra vigilant. If you experience any of the Covid-19 symptoms - a fever, persistent cough or loss of taste or smell – you must self-isolate immediately and book a test for Covid-19.
The Mobile Testing Unit (MTU) based in the Teviotdale Leisure Centre car park on Mansfield Road will be operational at the following times;
Mon 31 Aug - Tues 1 Sept 3pm – 5pm
Wed 2 Sept - Fri 4 Sept 10am – 5pm
Mobile testing will be available in Galashiels at the Netherdale Car Park between 10am and 1pm on Tuesday 2 Sept.
