We recognise that finding your feet after completing training can be a challenge. This scheme aims to give people a diverse and exciting year, and the opportunity to re-discover the joy of General Practice.
GP practices in the Borders have mostly not needed to actively recruit new GPs historically – there were always a steady stream of doctors keen to move to the area. However, even the Borders hasn’t been spared the recent national shortages of GPs so we aim to offer our GP Fellows a varied and rewarding year in the hope that some of you may choose to stay and make the Scottish Borders your home.
