Winter Vaccines Asset 3 August 2024

 **UPDATE**

The vaccination team are running a drop-in clinic on Monday 23 December in the Volunteer Hall, Galashiels, for people who are yet to receive their winter vaccines.

This clinic is open to any adult who is eligible for a winter flu or Covid-19 vaccine, as well as children aged 12-17 years old who are eligible for a Covid-19 vaccine and those aged 2-18 years old who are yet to receive their nasal flu vaccine.

The clinic will be open from 10am until 4pm. You do not need an appointment - just turn up! You may have a short wait to be seen if the clinic is busy.

The last vaccination slots are 3.50pm

If you are eligible for vaccination in our Winter vaccination programme, you will be sent information via letter, text or email about your appointment or how to book one. Please wait to be contacted.

Eligibility

Covid-19 and Flu vaccines are being prioritised from September-December and NHS Scotland has contacted those who are eligible for a Covid and flu vaccine.

The groups below are eligible for both COVID-19 and flu vaccines this winter:

  • aged 65 and over
  • pregnant
  • aged 6 months and over with an eligible health condition
  • living in a long-stay residential care home or other long-stay care facility
  • work in a care home for older adults
  • a frontline health or social care worker
  • a poultry worker
